In 2014, the state of New York legalized medical marijuana. But there’s a catch: You can’t smoke it. If you want to light up, you better have a vaporizer—and there’s good reason for it. Vaporizing is a healthier alternative to smoking and has zero sacrifice to your high. If you’re thinking that it was the bleached rolling papers hurting your lungs and since you started using hemp ones, you’re in the clear, you are wrong. The rolling papers have nothing to do with it—it’s actually the way the marijuana is treated that allows for toxins to find their way into your lungs.
Burning vs. Vaping

Before we get into why vaping is good, let’s talk about why burning is bad. When you roll a joint or pack the bowl of your favorite pipe or bong, you’re not taking advantage of everything your weed has to offer. As a matter of fact, you’re allowing your herbs to release dangerous toxins—which is not good.
Here’s the science behind it. Marijuana contains a lot more than just THC. Each of these toxins has a different temperature that releases them, but when the marijuana combusts (aka lit from your lighter), they all get released. According to a study, It’s the combustion and the release of the 100+ other toxins that leads to respiratory problems. This same study compared these harmful chemicals from the smoke emitted from a joint to the vapor produced from a Volcano vaporizer. The vapor’s results were far more pure with far fewer toxins—not to mention a higher concentration of THC. You’re probably more focused on the THC content now rather than the toxins, huh? Well to blow your mind a little more, the vapor produced by the Volcano consisted of 46% THC, while the joint only produced 25%.
How Can You Avoid Combusting Your Weed?

Vaping is the only possible way for you to avoid this. The reason being is because when you light up a joint, you’re burning it at about 2000℉—marijuana combusts at 446℉ (230℃). The only way to keep it below this temperature is by using a vaporizer. Most vaporizers are optimized to heat your herb in between 360-410℉, helping you find the optimal setting for your bud of choice. You can also use concentrates, such as waxes and oils, which are also best suited for vaporizers.
More Money in Your Pockets, More Air in Your Lungs

Still not so sure if vaporizers are for you? Well ask yourself if money is something you like to save. If you do, then vapes are for you. A big reason they are loved so much is the fact that they are economic. You don’t need to smoke a whole joint anymore to get ripped, sometimes all it takes is two solid draws from your Magic Flight Launch Box and you’ll be at your optimal high. Now the only thing you have to ask yourself is what you’re going to do with that saved money and added lung capacity. Smoke more, maybe?
