The cost of using cannabis can quickly add up if you are not careful. That is why a budget is needed for these sorts of things.

Without a budget every month, you risk spending more than what you can afford, resulting in not enough money to pay other expenses in your life.

A Canadian online dispensary I was looking at recently has a savings chart for their products. They also show the differences between bud grade quality so you can buy more potent cannabis if you prefer.

It is all these little differences that can help you save money depending on what you buy.

I know many people who are living paycheque to paycheque. One wrong calculation on their part can lead to them getting kicked out by their landlord and living on the street.

In these hard times, I was also laid off from my job. Everyone is facing difficulties in life, such as my brother in law.

He has been out of a job for a year now and still no luck in securing a job position.

It took me a long time before finding my current role of writing cannabis articles! I’m just happy that I can share my knowledge on cannabis to you.

In this article, you will learn 2 ways to save money on cannabis. Hope it helps your financial goals!

Two Methods to Save Money on Cannabis

The two methods we will go over are pretty common ways to save money on cannabis. You can re-read them to lock these ways in place, and you use them at a time that you really need it.

Grow Your Own

Well, this is pretty much self-explanatory.

By growing your own cannabis plants, you can get more by spending less. It is just the same as cooking your own food. You obviously need to pay a premium when you eat outside, where there are chefs that cook your food, waiter to serve you, people to wash your dishes, and a restaurant that needs to be rented.

In the same way, buying cannabis means the business has costs that need to be paid (such as rent, staff costs, packaging, etc). So, the cost of cannabis has to go up to cover these costs.

However, keep in mind that you do need to spend some upfront costs to actually grow a sustainable cannabis garden.

You also need time to care for your plants in order for it to grow well.

By growing your own cannabis,  you can also choose the strains you want to grow and have more control in how you want to grow them.

It will be a learning process along the way but it is worth it in the long run.

You can also split growing costs with a friend to cut down on expenses!

Buy in Bulk

Have you ever gone to Cotsco and saw how much cheaper prices for goods are when you buy in bulk?

It is the same for pretty much every aspect in life and business. When you buy more of something, the cost becomes cheaper.

This is a reason why many dispensaries offer free shipping over a certain order amount. It is just cheaper to ship more items than it is to ship less items.

For myself, I like to purchase edibles online in Canada in large quantities. My method is just to store them in an effective way. Trust me when I say this saves you a lot of money when you add up all the numbers!

It is also why All-you-can-eat buffets earn a lot of money. They buy everything in large amounts and can offset these costs by making stomach filling food without a high cost.

The next time you buy cannabis, take a look at their savings breakdown. You can quickly see that buying more will give you better pricing.

I always fall for the Buy one Free one pizza. The reason is because it is cheaper to get 2 pizzas than it is to get one!

It is a win-win scenario for both parties involved. The only con is you really need to know how to store your cannabis effectively so it does not go bad too fast.

You can also let your cannabis friends know in advance that you want to do a bulk purchase. In this way, you can split the costs even more and allow for greater savings for everyone.
