Actually it does have a lockout mechanism by clicking the button 5 times, it will flash indicate it’s locked. To unlock, do the same thing you did to lock–press button 5 times is succession.
I am loving my Atmos. I use the ceramic tank for dry substances. The ceramic chamber is useful without glass filter as a discreet pipe (some combustion does occur, but I’m not complaining) and you can just use the glass filter — I found another glass filter in my local smoke shop that is far superior to the one provided with atmos. With that filter it is 99% vaporization–just don’t it get to hot–after it’s warmed up, the ceramic chamber retains enough heat to keep the vaporization going for a bit after you let go of the button. Once you get used to how to time the frequency and duration of button holding/pushing then it will be second nature.
As for the oils/waxes/glycerin, I recommend buying a supplementary tank that can be attached to your atmos battery pack. They are many compatible tanks you can mix and match. It’s like buying a skateboard or a computer. The really good ones are the ones for which you chose each individual component and made it fit for your needs/lifestyle.
